Creativity & Aesthetics.

Having an already solid background, Year 1 consisted in refining my analog sketching and low-fidelity prototyping, exploring cardboard, Lego, and foam models in Project 2. Year 2 shifted towards digital skills, sketching using Procreate to integrate pictorial writing with digital annotations in courses such as ‘Design <> Research’, aligning layouts and color schemes with specific target communities.

Creativity & Aesthetics integrates a designer's personal style, mark, and characteristics into a coherent visual output, being central to my professional identity and vision.

In ‘Designing Connected Experiences’, my group designed sustainable DIY radio components, reinforcing my interest in the interconnection between C&A and T&R. Aligning with my vision, choosing the Built Environment elective ‘Project S’ I deepened my analog drawing across different media such as pen, paint, charcoal, and built a 1:100 scaled model of a house in wood and multiplex.

During my internship, although C&A was not a primary goal, I gained significant experience in graphic design and high-fidelity prototyping: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma, UX/UI app interfaces, sewing with industrial needles, and finishing techniques such as sanding and waterproof coating. The most significant insight was the connection between C&A and U&S when designing a camera module to a client's ‘masculine and robust’ vision, teaching me about being versatile, stepping aside from my creative vision and aligning with what a client envisions.
